  • Table talks must be approved by the school districts or county offices of education being represented. Should CSBA hear from a school district or county office of education that a submission was not approved, the proposal will not be accepted for consideration.
  • Proposals must consist of a board member, superintendent, or other staff from a current (2017-18 and 2018-19) CSBA member* school district or county office of education on the panel of presenters.
  • Presenters who are board members, administrators or other personnel must be from school districts or county offices that are current (2017-18 and 2018-19) members* of CSBA.
  • Table talk space is limited; proposals are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until space is filled.
  • Presenters receive a complimentary one-day conference registration for the day of their presentation. This complimentary registration is non-transferable. Presenters planning to attend more than one day of the CSBA Annual Education Conference must register at the regular conference rate.
  • CSBA does not accept general proposals for sessions intended to sell a product or service. If you are a CSBA Business Affiliate or partner or CSBA exhibitor, you may consider submitting a Exhibitor Table Talk proposal.
  • Table talks are one hour and fifteen minutes in length and may be scheduled at any time during the three days of the conference at the discretion of CSBA.
  • Table talks are designed as open forum discussions among a small group of participants, and are not to be utilized as sole captive audience or sales presentation.
  • Table talk presenter makes a 10-15 minute informational presentation regarding an educational program or practice to a group of up to 10 people. The subject is then opened for discussion.
  • The table talk presenter serves as a facilitator and keeps the discussion on track relative to the topic. The presenter also monitors the time allowing for input from all participants.
  • Only one presenter per table talk allowed. CSBA will only publish one presenter per table talk.
  • Because of facility limitations, the use of audio-visual equipment is not appropriate.
  • Presenters are responsible for uploading their handouts to the AEC app.
